Karl Heine is Founder and Solutionist at creativeplacement® — a cultivated, curated, hard-to-find talent consultancy for the creative industry with a focus on packaging, print, UX/UI, experiential and communication securing opportunities for emerging and seasoned professionals.

Karl has more than 35 years in the industry as a recruiter (placement specialist), coach, speaker, educator, designer and maker. Karl is Adjunct Faculty at the School of Visual Arts teaching professional practices in the BFA/Illustration BFA Comics department and, a visiting lecturer (print / self promotion) for the Summer Residency Program — Hire Visibility and Self Promotion". He has taught graphic design applications, business practices, entrepreneurial portfolio, design thinking, promotional marketing, entrepreneurial packaging design business, illustration marketplace and product innovation at M.AD, FIT, SVA, SUNY New Paltz, SASD, Anhui Polytechnic University and Aurora University in China.

In addition to teaching, Karl lectures frequently at design-focused institutions and industry associations including: AIGA Connecticut, (Upstate New York, and AIGA Rhode Island), CADC, AMA, AWNY, Graphic Artist Guild, Fordham, Pratt, Parsons, SVA, RISD, FIT, SUNY New Paltz, Portfolio Center, M.AD School of Ideas, Creative Circus, Hartford Art School, WCSU, UCONN, Syracuse and Carnegie Mellon.
