Typesetter Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Typesetter to join our publishing team in Washington. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and preparing text and images for print or digital publication. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities: - Format and layout text and images according to design specifications and style guidelines - Collaborate with editors, designers, and other team members to ensure accuracy and consistency in all published materials - Proofread content for spelling, grammar, and formatting errors - Use software programs such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress to create page layouts - Ensure that all materials are properly prepared for printing or digital distribution - Troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during the production process Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field preferred - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Typesetter or in a similar role - Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress, and other publishing software programs - Strong understanding of typography, layout design, and print production processes - Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure - Experience working with multiple languages is a plus Salary: Starting salary for this position is 1500$ per month. Location: This position is based in Washington but we welcome candidates from all nationalities. Relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate.
