RockSol Consulting Group is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our Proposal Team. This role is key in producing visually compelling, brand-compliant proposals, presentations, and marketing materials that communicate RockSols engineering and construction management expertise.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative and self-motivated design professional with a strong understanding of visual communication, particularly within the context of engineering and infrastructure projects.

RockSol offers comprehensive transportation engineering services, including roadway and trail design, bridge and structure design, traffic engineering, geotechnical and geohazard engineering, environmental services, construction management, inspection, and materials testing. We are headquartered in Thornton, Colorado, and proudly serve clients throughout the state and across the western United States.

Requirements
  • Create and format graphic elements including proposal covers, dividers, layouts, infographics, organizational charts, maps, and data visualizations that align with RockSols brand and proposal standards.
  • Work closely with proposal managers, technical writers, engineers, and project managers to conceptualize and design proposal visuals that effectively convey complex technical information.
  • Develop and maintain branded templates and design standards across proposal documents and presentations to ensure consistency and professionalism.
  • Assist in the layout and formatting of proposals, ensuring clarity, visual appeal, and compliance with solicitation requirements and RockSol's internal style guide.
  • Develop presentation materials for projects including PowerPoint or Prezi presentations, visual boards for use in interview and public meetings, and other relevant materials.
  • Maintain and update libraries of project imagery, design templates, graphics, and brand elements to ensure easy access and version control across the team.
  • Provide support in the preparation, printing, binding, and packaging of physical and digital proposals.
  • Participate in proposal strategy sessions, content planning meetings, and post-submission reviews to continuously enhance design practices and efficiencies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA or BFA in Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher) and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
  • Proficiency in document formatting, desktop publishing techniques, and producing graphic designs.
  • Demonstrated graphic design, editing, and formatting skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Highly organized and self-starting.
  • Keen eye for detail and skills in compliance, style, and consistency throughout documents, with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and complete multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in business proposals or similar preferred (A/E/C projects strongly preferred).
  • Preferred in working in windows operating system.
  • Portfolio required.

Work Environment

Office environment, sitting, typing, and drawing at a computer workstation for extended periods. Moderate noise level.

Pay

$28 - $32 per hour (depending on experience)
