We are currently looking for a Press Operor Assistant to join our team. The Press Assistant role is responsible for the set up and support of printing presses in accordance with the printing specificions and customer requirements/expections.

Responsibilities:

• Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures
• Attains and maintains all defined job objectives reled to the planning and execution of all jobs and quick changes
• Assists in the performance of all external make-ready operions in preparion for changeover activities (changing from one label job to another)
• Assists in the performance of all external clean-up activities following changeover
• Cleans ink pans and ancillary equipment
• Strips ples from cylinders
• Loces dies to and from press
• May be required to work with press operor to view labels with assistance of strobe light
• Comply with quality assurance specificions of the customer and MCC
• May be required to complete quality assurance sheet and associed documention
• Responsible for cleanliness of machinery and organizion of the workspace
• Responsible for working overtime when needed and as assigned
• Reled duties as assigned

Qualificions:

• High school diploma or general educion degree (GED); or one to three months reled experience and/or training; or equivalent combinion of educion and experience
• Print shop experience helpful, but not required
• Ability to communice and interact well with others (verbally and written form); seen as a team player
• Ability to read and understand a job ticket
• Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements (able to pass a ruler test)
• Ability correctable to 20/20 (able to pass an eye test)
• Ability to differentie colors (able to pass a color test)
• Ability to input da in the computer
• Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on-time completion of assigned activities
• Self-motived with the ability to stay focused and follow instructions
• Ability to stand and move around press area for long periods of time
• The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
