A Die Cut Machine Operator sets up, operates, and maintains machinery to cut, shape, or stamp materials (paper, board, plastic) according to specifications . Key responsibilities include installing dies, adjusting machine settings (speed, pressure), inspecting finished products for quality, and troubleshooting, often in a fast-paced production setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and Operation: Installing dies, setting guides, feeders, and pressure points, and operating machinery to meet production schedules.
- Quality Control: Inspecting finished parts for accuracy, ensuring clean cuts, and removing defects.
- Maintenance: Performing daily, weekly, or monthly maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and repairing dies.
- Documentation: Recording production data, such as quantities produced, material usage, and time spent, accurately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols, wearing protective gear, and maintaining a clean work area.
- Experience: Previous experience in a press department or with industrial machinery is usually required.
- Technical Skill: Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read job orders and blue prints.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift materials, often in a noisy environment.
- Attention to Detail: High focus on accuracy to maintain quality standards.
- Teamwork: Ability to work with others to manage, set up, and troubleshoot machines
