Under direct supervision, the Copy Center Technician provides support including but not limited to completing requests for copies, binding and performing Copy Center jobs submitted by faculty and staff at the College. This is a Part-Time position, up to 29 hours per week. Operates high-speed copiers, printers, bindery, and related office equipment to complete print and reproduction requests for faculty, staff, and departments across the College. Produces high-quality printed materials in accordance with customer specifications, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and professional presentation. Performs a variety of finishing and post-production services including collating, stapling, folding, cutting, laminating, hole-punching, padding, booklet-making, and binding. Assists customers in submitting print requests, clarifying job specifications, and recommending appropriate printing and finishing solutions. Reviews completed jobs for quality assurance, verifying formatting, alignment, print quality, and completeness prior to distribution. Maintains organized records of copy center requests, usage, and production activities as required. Assists with basic design, formatting, and layout adjustments for printed materials using designated software applications when needed. Provides courteous and responsive customer service while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive or proprietary printed materials. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED At least one (1) to two (2) years related experience in a copy center or print shop setting Preferred Qualifications Associate degree Graphic design skills are desired with experience working with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Publisher and Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) Work Environment: Copy center and office environment; Routinely operates printing, copying, and finishing equipment that may generate moderate noise. Requires regular interaction with faculty, staff, students, and vendors in a service-oriented environment with multiple deadlines and competing priorities. Work may involve exposure to toner, paper dust, adhesives, and cleaning chemicals commonly associated with print production equipment. Physical Demands: Requires standing and walking for extended periods throughout the workday. Frequently lifts, carries, pushes, and pulls paper boxes, supplies, and materials weighing up to 30 pounds; occasional heavier lifting may be required with assistance. Requires frequent bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and repetitive hand movements. Must possess sufficient visual acuity to review print quality, alignment, and formatting details. Requires manual dexterity to operate copy, print, binding, and finishing equipment. Normal Working Hours: Part-Time position, Monday - Friday up to 29 hours; occasional flexibility required to support special projects, campus events, or peak operational periods.
