I'm currently seeking adult Paraphidippus Fartilis, with a particular focus on females. The existing captive-bred population in the U.S. is based on a very limited number of wild-caught individuals. As a result, the genetic diversity is low and signs of inbreeding are emerging, which puts the long-term health of the population at risk. Unfortunately, it is no longer legal to import them from Mexico, where they are more commonly found. However, these spiders are native and legal to collect in southern Texas, particularly around Brownsville, the northernmost edge of their natural range. To help revitalize and responsibly strengthen the captive population, I'm looking to collect a small number of healthy wild adults.
