Description:
Its Time to Get Better! Piedmont Eastside Medical is 310- bed multi-campus facility, serving Gwinnett and surrounding counties. The Family Care Center which provides couplet care are making a difference in every life they touch. This 17- bed unit focuses on post-partum care, monitoring, and education. -Education and Support The unit offers lactation consult support, educating mother on breastfeeding techniques, newborn care, and postpartum recovery. -Staffed with RNs, Charge Nurses, and PCTs that create a very compassionate and collaborative team.
Certifications- BLS is required. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is required within first 90 days for new Graduates.
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during his/her shift. Provides clinical care as needed when census demands. Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s). Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a nursing program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
One (1) year of nursing experience in a hospital setting required.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
BLS certification required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Two (2) or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Bachelors degree preferred.
Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum).
Demonstrated clinical competency.
