Description

Host Company is a large flexible packaging converter of surface printed & reverse printed lamination structures with 100% solvent flexographic capabilities. Main product lines include snack packaging on film. Plant currently has 4 presses. This position, under general supervision, will blend, formulate color-match, control the quality of inks made and used, provide press side technical service, and maintain inventory records of ink consumption. Operation is a 24-hour/day 5 days per week shift with continuous operation during peak business seasons.

• Effect the supply of ink to presses on a 24/7 shift arrangement.
• Order inks and maintain correct inventory levels of all Sun Chemical products.
• Maintain production and quality control records of all products produced and advise branch as to amount of ink to be billed to in-plant operation.
• Pre-QC inks going to press.
• Provide press side technical service as required.
• Maintain safe work environment and good housekeeping practices.
• Effectively interact with customer personnel.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum 3 years lab, in-plant, and/or production experience- packaging flexo ink.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• Physical Requirements include: Ability to lift 50+ lbs

Preferred Experience :

• Press Experience and familiarity with ink dispensing systems.

Shift : 3rd (7PM-7AM rotational)
