The person in this position is responsible for the supervision of the pressroom operations to meet the established quality, productivity and efficiency objectives. This individual also assigns the work of the day and night shift press and CTP personnel, helps establish priorities, and supervises the maintenance and repair of all pressroom and CTP equipment.
The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical background with a complete knowledge of the pressroom and platemaking operation. Exceptional leadership skills are essential to manage, coach and review employee performance. Good communication skills are necessary to establish work procedures and quality standards for the department.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; related secondary education would be considered a plus
The ability to differentiate between colors
Experience working in a multi color format and efficiently producing a printed sheet to match a contract proof
Color management experience; candidates with experience conducting process printing fingerprints and/or special densitometry a plus
Experience with web fed lithographic/ flexographic printing operations; digital printing experience would be a plus
Ability to read and interpret the information in pertinent documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Concise verbal and written communication skills
Prior management or supervisory experience within the Printing Industry
Strong interpersonal skills
Flexibility in terms of shifts and job functions
Working knowledge of a PC and Microsoft Office programs
Preference will be given to candidates with experience using analytical tools and/or involved in process control development and implementation

Minimum 7 years experience in web offset print, heat set environment or print manufacturing. Proficient computer working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Lotus Notes). Detailed and deadline oriented with excellent follow through skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers. Basic knowledge of Web Offset printing fundamentals and Quality measurements. Ability to work as a cooperative part of a team and be an enthusiastic learner.
