Job Title: Aquaflex, Uteco or Flexo Press Operator Company: Vitex Packaging Location: Suffolk, VA Description: Responsible for the safe, efficient operation of a Flexographic printing press, which consists of running tags, envelopes, etc. in accordance with established procedures and specifications. Supervised By: Shift Supervisors / VP of Operations Duties & Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To: Safe operation of equipment Quality of materials produced Minimizing production waste Filling production paperwork, records, pallet tickets, job cost records, etc. as required Set-up and changeover of press from one job to another (exception for work that is performed by machine shop personnel, ie: dies, belts, pulleys etc.) Assist machine shop personnel as required Loading mill rolls onto press and unloading finished rolls Assuring, as required, delivery of inks, plates, cores, etc to the press Notifying supervisors when press equipment is in need of repair work Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum one year Flexographic printing and die cutting exp.
