Job Title: Entry-Level Graphic Designer Company: Location: Denver, CO Description: The Qdoba Restaurant Corporation in Wheat Ridge, Colorado is looking for a full time entry-level designer to add to their in-house team. The qualified candidate will be resourceful, proactive, deadline driven and detail oriented in order to handle multiple projects simultaneously. This person must be able to work closely with others, accommodate changes on the fly and demonstrate personal initiative. Experience working within the standards of a brand is a plus. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: Candidate will be a collaborative part of a small team that is responsible for providing graphic design and print-production services while maintaining the Qdoba Mexican Grill brand strategy. Primary Responsibilities also include traffic management and the preflight/prepress finishing of files according to vendor specifications (for print and online use). Successful candidates must have a strong understanding of layout, type, color, and general design principles. Skills should include the ability to take direction and elicit constructive feedback from corporate and franchise clients to create a complete layout, working proficiently in all CS4 design software programs. Candidates should have the ability to conceptualize and design a variety of pieces, including: point of sale materials, direct mail campaigns, magazine ads, apparel, banners, billboards, email templates, static and motion-based graphics. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: ? BFA / BA in Graphic Design, Computer Imaging, or related degree required. ? 2-3 years of graphic design experience required. ? Must have a portfolio of current work to demonstrate range of abilities. SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE AND GENERAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: ? Strong working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. ? Must have knowledge of four-color printing process, and be able to pre-flight, collect files and archive materials. ? Working knowledge of Flash is required. ? Familiarity with HTML and Dreamweaver is a plus but not required. ? Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/entourage). ? Must be proficient in using a Macintosh operating system. ? Ability to meet key deadlines as specified. ? Strong attention to detail, prioritization, and organizational skills. ?
