Job Duties and Responsibilities Advanced knowledge of color theory, color correction, art manipulation and image retouching using Photoshop. Knowledge of prepress, design and printing including familiarity with layout, trim, bleed, safety and an understanding of both the preflight and the ripping process (Export, Export-Distill or PostScript-RIP). Extensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator), and Microsoft Office software applications. The ability to color correct, convert and retouch images from import of raw digital photography through final proof process. Image manipulation skills and page assembly/packaging construction skills with full understanding of layer usage. Process pages/packages and make edits on these documents from start to finish with minimum revisions. Knowledge of spot color usage, trapping and conversion to process in image editing software and page building software. Maintain a high level of productivity with excellent quality and consistency. Job Knowledge & Skills 5+ years of experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other desktop publishing software. 5+ years of experience building or constructing pages or packaging in Illustrator or InDesign. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills in a team environment. Must possess the ability to produce independently in a team environment. Ability to troubleshoot errors in any given publication or document. Proactive in all aspects of prepress operations. Mac and PC OS experience required. High School Diploma.
