Ability to take creative direction and run with it absolutely paramount - We work predominantly in OS X but PC knowledge helpful (not required) - Knowledge of known issues/troubleshoot file conversions from Quark 2 InDesign. - Understand the difference between Master pages, Style sheets and Character Styles. Must know how and when to apply Nested Styles. Solid Understanding of Next Style, how and when to apply it and how it affects a 100 page Document. - Expert knowledge of print processes, Know the meaning of Moiré, Dot Gain, Line Screen, Screen angles, Sheetfed / Web / Flexo / Stochastic - Expert Photoshop skills expected (Understand the Difference between Spot colors and Channels. Most (if not all) Color correction is outsourced, but you MUST be able to understand what corrections were done and know what to look for regarding corrections/mistakes (you will be double checking individual channels). Must be able to effectively communicate / recommend PROOF changes to Designers/Art Directors. Color Consistency a must. If you can't see what the Designers see, you are useless to us. - EXCELLENT Comping skills - Solid understanding of Adobe Acrobat Pro.
