Job Title: Printing Production Manager Company: Location: Hughestown, PA Description: Kappa Graphics, LP is a web offset publication printer specializing in the printing and binding of magazines, coloring & activity books, and maps. The company has been privately owned by the same individual for nearly 40 years, and has printed for such nationally recognized publishers as TV Guide. We produce in the vicinity of 300 million perfect bound & saddle stitched units of various finished sizes annually with a workforce of nearly 200 employees at our factory in Northeast PA. The position of Production Manager reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for the day to day operations of the factory, with a primary focus on managing the press department. Accountable for pressroom Quality, production efficiency, on-time delivery, preventive maintenance programs, employee development, raw material/parts inventories, managing vendors, production reporting; and for coordinating with scheduling, bindery, and maintenance management. Requires a high level of energy and enthusiasm for problem solving. Day shift position but must be willing to work occasional weekends as needed. Requirements Must have at least 10 years experience in production management in the web offset printing business, and specifically in the magazine or periodical printing arena. Prior experience as a pressroom manager, quality manager, or plant manager/assistant manager required.
