Job Title: Studio Production Artist Company: Location: Smithfield, RI Description: We are looking for a Senior Multimedia Production Artist on behalf of our client, Fidelity Investments. This position is based in Smithfield, RI. Key Responsibilities: 10% Manage and maintain an efficient workflow, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction of marketing collateral in a time-critical working environment. Manage low, mid and complex projects - collaborate, oversee, and execute on schedule. 20% Manage consistency of graphics across all Fidelity/FIIS projects. Manage technical/print/multimedia production standards. Manage styles, maintain consistency, and reflect selling systems of applications and forms across all product categories for Client Services. 60% Obtain savings of pre-press charges by ensuring files are print-ready before they reach the printer (final art, photo purchasing, photo retouching, loose color, etc.) 10% Work collaboratively with Marcom departments (Account, Design/Creative, Electronic Distribution, Meetings and Events, Operations, and Web), Client Services, and FIIS Systems, as well as outside vendors. Work strategically with Production partners to maximize cost efficiencies for each project. Technological and Key Skill Set Create innovative and effective solutions in various media for complex projects or campaigns (ex. posters, signage, gizmos and gadgets, and major marketing campaigns). Layout and pre-press skills: Experienced in Adobe In-Design; with the ability to synthesize text, images, data and graphic elements into a layout which includes all of the document parameters: size, number of pages, types of fonts, colors etc. Graphic Manipulation: Advanced knowledge in Adobe Photoshop. Highly capable of producing high-end graphics effects, including image manipulation (photomontage or photographic retouching) resizing, and tonal/color correction of digital images. Illustration and Charting: knowledge of Adobe Illustrator. Capable of creating graphs, icons, charts, and other types of vector-based graphics. Preflight experience with Illustrator separations, colors (SPOT and CMYK conversions) and fonts included. File Manipulation & Distribution: knowledge of Adobe Acrobat to create, view and distribute PDF files. Knowledge of Scanners and scanning software to capture display and distribute digital information. Adobe Acrobat -- Advanced: Ability to create writeable PDFs and PDFs that are Java-enabled to create customized letters, invitations, etc. Audio and Video: Ability to create short video and audio comps for use with presentation or for training purposes. Other skills include the ability to design and edit PowerPoint documents, work with online digital stock houses to search, order and download images from websites. Experience with file transmissions such as Wamnet and FTP. Manual (non-computer) production skills: the ability to layout and build composites ("comps") of collateral material for presentations. Research and Education: Keep current with graphic arts, multimedia, and the financial industry. Areas of interest include: staying current with updates to all in-house [studio] software; education and training in animation and video (iMovie, After Effects, and Cleaner) Qualifications: Computer Experience Requirements: Macintosh: Minimum 5+ years of computer graphics experience on Macintosh system, including working knowledge of OSX and server-driven environments. Advanced software knowledge Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop CS, Adobe Illustrator CS, In-Design, and Adobe Acrobat), iMovie, Premiere, Cleaner, and After Effects. PC: Basic ImageReady (animated gifs); PC Microsoft Office Suite; basic knowledge of HTML (HTML emails and banner creation) Scanning proficiency. Job Title: Graphic Designer=Packaging Company: Location: Providence, RI Description: GRAPHIC DESIGNER-PACKAGING ONE YEAR CONTRACT Key Responsibilities - Designs, develops, produces and prepares designs against art direction, from written or verbal requests. -Creates innovative design framework for brand development and complex layouts. -Applies trends, lifestyles and esthetics to produce design solutions across product segments. -Coordinates and monitors multiple schedules to meet deadlines. - Interact and contribute ideas in a group and individual setting. - Archive files for completed work. - Awareness of marketplace trends (e.g. competitive graphics, styling and fashion) Education, Knowledge and Experience required ?
