Job Title: PRODUCTION ARTIST Company: Adecco Location: Woonsocket, RI Description: Position Summary:The Production Artist is required to support some phases design and all production processes, producing error-free artwork and preparing accurate pre-press files, resulting in the timely, high-quality (design and pre-press) and cost effective output of print and web advertising deliverables. Job Description:In this role, the Production Artist must have knowledge to design and production processes to mostly modify existing artwork as directed by Studio Manager. He/She will execute various levels of design and production files meeting requirements for various departments/requestors within the company. Includes development of some design through graphic file preparation for print production. Experience in advertising graphic arts production required. Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail while working on multiple projects simultaneously. Some technical problem-solving responsibilities required. He/She will be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and excel, in a fast-paced environment with extremely tight deadlines and at times, in some cases with heavy workload.Additional functions may include scanning, proofing, comping, cutting and or pasting, archiving and cataloging project files and documents. Prepare, collect, and distribute all file components of the project to their respective departments and vendors in required timeframe. Rework and/or reproduce existing artwork provided by outside vendors.Work with Studio Manager on other various projects as needed. Job Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design 5 to 8 years of professional experience in Mac desktop application (including experience with OS X) Ability to set up production ready digital files/artwork correctly and accurately. Knowledge of color separations a must. Experience with creating and manipulating PDF, EPS and other file formats. Candidate must have working experience of all phases printing processes and standards. Knowledge of scanners, printers and other peripherals associated with graphic arts. Must be physically able to use computer and traditional artist's tools Proficient with MAC applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXpress, In-Design, Word, Excell and other MS Office Software's. Proficient knowledge of Outlook a plus. Must demonstrate a full understanding of retail advertising. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task priorities accordingly to meet or exceed established deadlines while maintaining a positive, team-oriented approach.
